Bible Reading Plans

My church has a Subsplash app that we use for sermons, calendar events, notifications, messages, and Bible reading plans. The way custom Bible reading plans work in a Subsplash app requires you to host an xml file somewhere and then point the app to that hosted file.

The xml file looks like this:

This is a pain to do by hand. So the recommendation is to create an excel spreadsheet with the reading plan details and send it to Subsplash. They convert it into the xml file and give it back. But then you still have to host it somewhere and if you have to edit the plan then the process becomes a bit cumbersome.

So being the programmer that I am, I came up with an alternate idea, an app to create and host these plans all in one step.

It is still a work in progress, but I’m excited to expand on it to general purpose Bible reading plans that can be shared and followed personally or with a group.
